Technical Safety Engineer – Staff – London

Role & Responsibilities
- The role is working Client side on a large new exciting onshore energy project.
- Responsible for monitoring Technical Safety and Loss Prevention activities of the FEED contractor on behalf of the Client.
- Reviewing design and documentation provided by the FEED contractor to ensure compliance with all relevant Safety standards.
- Co-ordinating with other disciplines to ensure coherent approach by the FEED contractor to all technical safety related matters.
- Supporting Risk Analysis of the FEED deliverables.
- Acting as main Client point of contact for technical queries and clarifications.
- Monitoring delivery of HSE related philosophies.
- Checking the quality of subcontractor design work to ensure compliance with agreed client design specifications.
- Analyzing contractors RAM studies for any deviations or anomalies.
- Participate in relevant meetings, such as HAZID, Design Reviews, Model Reviews.
- Supporting the vendor management and selection process during the FEED stage.
- Reporting to the Engineering Manager on FEED contractor performance.
Key Skills & Knowledge
- Must be Degree qualified in relevant discipline.
- Chartered status highly advantageous though not essential.
- Experience of Technical Safety/Loss Prevention within relevant industries (e.g. energy. oil and gas, petrochemicals, etc.)
- Must have previous experience either working Client side or in a PMC role.
