C&I Engineer – Staff – South Coast / London / Home Working

Location: London

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading engineering business during a period of continued growth as they support the Oil & Gas and Renewable Energy sectors. The work location can be split between the London and South Coast offices, though our client has a preference for the successful candidate to be based in the South Coast.

This role will suit a C&I Engineer looking to transition into a Senior Engineer role in a challenging, consultancy style environment.

 

Role & Responsibilities

• This is a consultant style role that will involve technical reviews, project development and delivery activities
• The role will be supporting clients developing the digitalization of assets to reduce operating support and cost – this part is essential to the role.
• Support C&I element of offshore energy projects involving topsides facilities engineering, floating production systems technology and project management.
• Developing solutions for digitally enabled facilities, focusing on how to use data to reduce manning and maintenance requirements and also on solutions for minimizing greenhouse gas emissions from oil and gas facilities.
• Development of C&I standard procedures, templates and protocols for consulting activities.
• Development and/or acquisition of suitable analysis tools, databases and software to enhance company’s overall service.
• Participation in design review, 3D Model Reviews, Value Engineering, Risk Management workshops.
• Supporting development of ICSS, DCS and SCADA architectures for offshore environments, including brownfield C&I upgrades.
• Also involved in assessing safety systems and input into safety studies.
• The role may also involve some international travel and potentially occasional offshore visits.

 

Key Skills & Knowledge

• Must be degree qualified in either C&I, Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• Chartered status desired but not essential.
• Experience of supporting the digitalization of energy assets is essential.
• Previously worked on design projects in the Oil & Gas or Renewable Energy industries – upstream and offshore project experience a significant advantage.
• Experience of electrical equipment and its application in conventional and safety applications.
• Experience in relevant design standards and protocols.

 

Benefits
