Electrical Commissioning Engineer – Contract – North East
Location: Teesside
This is an excellent opportunity to join a world leading cleantech, renewable and alternative energy company involved in the development of novel green energy and fuel solutions on a global scale. The role is outside IR35.
Role & Responsibilities
- Supporting the re-commissioning of a major power station operating on natural gas.
- Primarily involved with the commissioning of the electrical systems during the cold and hot commissioning.
- Co-ordinating the activities associated with the power block and ancillary systems start up.
- Updating the plant operating procedures/instructions where required.
- Reporting any defects and liaise with the Operation and Maintenance Managers for updating the master punchlist/SMP.
- Writing commissioning progress reports for electrical systems.
- Assist the Plant and the Operations Managers with optimising the process during operational trials.
Key Skills & Knowledge
- Must have significant experience in the electrical commissioning in the power gen sector, preferably with gas fired units.
- Any experience of NOx reduction would be a distinct advantage.
- Relevant qualification (HNC / HND or above).
- Experience in optimising SCR Units would be advantageous.
- CCNSG Safety Passport essential – SSTS/SMSTS cards would be an advantage.
Benefits
Initially a 6 month contract but there is a very good chance the contract will be extended. This role is deemed outside IR35.
