French Speaking Project Manager

Location: Western Europe

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading engineering business during a period of continued growth as they support the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Renewable Energy sectors. The successful candidate must be fluent in both French and English.

 

Role & Responsibilities

  • Management of Projects from early phases to completion of detailed engineering.
  • The successful candidate will ideally come from a Mechanical Engineering background though other disciplines will be considered.
  • This will be a site-based role but focusing on design deliverables.
  • Acting as the interface between the client / owner operator and the EPC contractor.
  • Undertaking work on client sites providing technical advice and project management services.
  • Co-ordinating design deliverables to ensure all agreed project.
  • Producing budget costs and cash flow projections for projects.
  • Planning, scheduling and monitoring progress on engineering projects.
  • Maintain and developing relationships with client contacts, potentially identifying additional engineering opportunities for the EPC contractor.
  • Reviewing, updating and presenting project reports to client and EPC contractor.
  • Assessing and providing technical input into proposed project plans and proposals.
  • Ensure that issues relating to safety are effectively managed, in line with the clients’ policies and procedures.
  • Produce progress reports and lead progress meetings with clients and internal team.
  • Support and lead bids and tenders for future projects.

 

Key Skills & Knowledge

  • Must be Degree qualified, preferably in Mechanical Engineering though other disciplines will be considered.
  • Chartered status highly advantageous though not essential.
  • It is essential that the successful candidate must be fluent in both French and English.
  • Previous experience supporting major energy projects (eg. Refining, Petrochemical or LNG).
  • Previous site experience in conjunction with a design background beneficial.
  • Planning and organising, communication, team working and problem solving.
  • Good level of numeracy, literacy and IT knowledge.

 

Additional Information

  • The role can be either rotational (2 weeks on site followed by 1 week working from home) or based full time in country.
  • 5 day standard working week Monday – Friday.
