Instrument Engineer – Staff & Contract
Location: Wales
This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading engineering design company involved in a range of energy projects across various stages of development.
Key responsibilities:
• Undertake engineering activities as required for studies and projects.
• Collaborate with other disciplines as part of the project engineering team.
• Undertake work on client sites providing technical advice and operational support.
• Supervise a group of engineers and designers following schedules and allocating work packs
• Provide input to any bid processes or packages asked of Insite.
• Activities include:
• Develop the scope of work for assigned projects.
• Undertake design and checking of deliverables according to discipline and area of expertise.
• Preparation and checking of deliverables including drawings, schedules, datasheets, specifications, (input to control philosophies and narratives if applicable).
• Perform safety related calculations and provide input to safety reviews – What If, Hazop, LOPA & SIL Assessment, etc.
• Use specialised design software for the development of mechanical deliverables.
• Attend in-house or site-based meetings and reviews with clients.
• Undertake short and long-term business travel in support of studies, projects and site services.
• Participate in consulting work when expertise level is appropriate.
• Reasonable duties not listed that may be required from time to time.
Key competencies, skills and knowledge required:
• Communication, team working and problem solving skills.
• Good level of numeracy, literacy and IT knowledge.
• Engineering qualification and/or experience in an engineering role.
