Role & Responsibilities
- This is a client-side role, managing a large scale, green energy feedstock processing facility project through the concept phase as well as FEED and into EPC; managing all engineering, construction and commissioning activities.
- Responsible for overall management of the engineering contractor and all 3rd party suppliers.
- Acting as the key interface with the FEED / EPC Contractor to drive project execution and contract strategy.
- Contract Management – responsible for the tender and contract award process for multiple packages of work and ensuring contractors/licensors execute works in accordance with the terms of the contract.
- Schedule Management – driving the schedule to ensure on time delivery and reporting progress.
- Cost Management – managing costs to ensure budget delivery.
- Cost reporting, invoicing, payments and change management.
- Interface Management – overseeing the interface with contractor and all other stakeholders.
- Developing and supporting the implementation of work plans, including remedial changes and repairs.
- Checking quality of contractor design work to ensure compliance with agreed client design specifications.
- Produce budget costs and cash flow projections for projects.
- Ensure that issues relating to HSE are effectively managed, in line with the clients’ policies and procedures.
Key Skills & Knowledge
- Must be degree qualified in relevant engineering discipline, chartered status desired but not essential.
- Previously managed projects in the energy sector at all stages.
- Prior knowledge / experience of feedstock processing facility projects is essential.
- Torrefaction knowledge is highly desirable.
- Must have power plant build / refurb / commissioning / re-commissioning experience.
- Being a pro-active, independent self-starter is also essential.
