Senior FPSO Process Facilities Engineer – Staff – London

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading engineering business during a period of continued growth as they support the Oil & Gas and Renewable Energy sectors. The role will be a mix of home working and office in the London offices.
Experience supporting FPSO / FSO projects at conceptual / study / pre-FEED stage in a consultancy led environment is essential.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead facilities / operations engineering projects from conceptual design to installation and operation – specifically working with clients supporting FPSOs and FSOs.
- The role spans the full offshore facilities scope (the complete field scope) plus the wider project execution commercials.
- Provide engineering support to assure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct debottlenecking and optimization studies in support of Operations
- Identify hazards, best practices, evaluate state of the art equipment and practices, and incorporates sound engineering practices for the design and construction of new facilities.
- Ensure studies are completed on time, on budget, and in accordance with company quality standards.
- Supporting optimization studies of projects to enable clients to develop effective operational and cost reduction strategies.
- Develop the scope of work / basis of design for studies and projects as well as techno – economic evaluations.
- Perform safety related calculations and provide input to safety reviews.
- Utilise process simulation software as required for the development of process deliverables.
- Attend in-house and site-based meetings / reviews with clients.
- Undertake short and long-term business travel in support of studies, projects and consultancy.
Key Skills & Knowledge
- Degree in Chemical Engineering essential, chartered status desired but not essential.
- Must have previous experience supporting FPSO / FSO projects at conceptual / study / pre-FEED stage in a consultancy led environment.
- Strong project management skills including planning, scheduling and budget control
- Ability to communicate effectively and deal with internal groups, external suppliers, and vendors.
